I don't think #AI will end civilization, as we always have the option to unplug from digital devices.
What I think is going on here is; that the big founders of AI don't want the masses to have the ability to make their own AI models and compete. #Hollywood for one, would be ended as an industry, as people can now make studio quality animations and action movies from a laptop computer.
#Military or guerilla use of independently produced AI models could also be an issue. Consider the amount of damage that a weaponized robot could do with autonomous AI control.
