@cindy Our site is not about privacy, our site is an outlet for people who can't get their comments shown on the mainstream social media platforms.
Also, we do NOT accept any credit card payments or ask users to provide any private information; so there really is no need for an SSL certificate.
In fact, having an SSL certificate is a means by which the big tech companies can deny small sites like ours access to the internet and shut us down.
As a website operator you need to link a phone number and a credit card to the purchase of an SSL certificate. There have been instances where credit card companies and companies that issue SSL certificates discriminating against websites they don't like, and refusing to provide service.
Something like this has already happened to another alternative social media platform:

@Larry I am sure Larry that you cannot help yourself and have to use all this intellectual gobble-de-gook which probably many of the users here have no idea how to understand (including myself). I only have a very simple "education" but, I am bilingual and have the same problem with both languages. It is just that I never had the time, or it seemed so, or didn't see the need to upgrade my intellect during my challenging lifetime until today in my old age. I was busy "making a living" and time just flew by. I always thought of improvement as something that could wait until tomorrow and tomorrow just ran over me. Now, I just want to "enjoy" the rest of my life and be not bothered with societies ideas on how to live, not meaning that I will not comment on what other people have to say and write. Yes, I know, it is never too late to "learn"! I get it, but beg to differ for some people and situations!

I don't think you get how this free speech thing works.
I told you and everyone that we ( twpter.com ) will not censor, hide or delete comments of anyone, unless those comments violate US laws and are not protected free speech, or if they meet our very narrow definition of spam.
TRUE Free speech includes debate which requires the speaker to either backup their positions with some sort of evidence when challenged, through some citation that affirms their position; or otherwise allow their speech to accept the label of "OPINION".
I did not attack you personally, and I had no idea you are bilingual until you mentioned it; and I really don't care, it does not affect your intelligence or grasp of reason and logic.

@tex I'm glad you think it's that funny. Some people take these online arguments seriously or even as a matter of national defense. I know of at least one nation that employs a literal army of people to engage "enemies" of the state on social media and message boards.

Regarding gunpowder, it may have been invented by the Chinese initially as a curiosity or a magic trick, but it soon got used by THEM for warfare. Don't fall into that "white man bad" mentality. White Europeans certainly did refine the use of gunpowder though.
As for the 1024 limit on posts, this is done mainly for ease and efficiency of disk storage and the logistics of file operations.
You can easily get around this by doing what @Quoteman or @phoneguy do when they label their twpts like:
1 of 4, 2 of 4, etc.
It helps if you first compose your writings on a word processor like https://www.openoffice.org/download/index.html
that has a word count & character count in it's tool tab so you can plan ahead and where to break your writing to fit in the 1000 character portions.

I think I know what the problem is, the re-twpt fetching module uses the same variable name that the at-user populate is drawing from to insert into / populate the reply.
This was the same problem with the replies to re-twpts grabbing the SCID data from the original twpt, not the SCID data from the re-twpt, which was often on some other page, so there is no way the comment display module could find it, since comment text files are no longer duplicated on each page's comment page folder they appear in.

There will always be those who for whatever reason, or through whatever defect, are not capable of advancing past a certain station in life; respect and compassion for these people is a duty for all, but these people who are unable, or unwilling to achieve and contribute to the common good, will not be permitted to be a millstone around the necks of productive members of society. Meritocracy shall be the cornerstone.
Development and protection of domestic manufacturing and agriculture that is locally owned, and financially independent from #Multinational influence is another cornerstone.
Strict control of immigration if ACTUAL national unemployment rates are above 5%

I don't think atheism is the problem. If belief in a Creator God, or specifically: #Christianity or the #bible brings you spiritual comfort and helps to guide your behavior in constructive and beneficial ways, that you may not pursue on your own volition; then your adherence to your religion is good for you and perhaps society at large.
However, there are several problems with unquestioning adherence, and blind faith in any religion, institution, philosophy, school of thought, or any such construct that society has a tendency to vest with authority.
Perhaps the biggest problem is corruption of the leaders and overall mission of the institution or religion. Perhaps those leaders really lust for power control and conformity of the masses, not the good of society, perhaps they are beholden to others through blackmail, graft, hidden ownership, or some other compromising arrangement. -continued- #FightClub

@bfritz we disabled all html tags in comments to obviously protect against malicious code injection, but we have been considering enabling a few of the benign html tags so that the more capable and so inclined users can style and format their posts to a greater degree than simply pasting in a few Emojis.

I noticed a few comments with multiple hash tags, and upon clicking on some hashtags, not seeing comment on that hashtag page's feed.
This might be a problem with user not entering space at the end a line after a hashtag, or end of comment with hashtag is the last text typed. Perhaps line breaks and EOF markers should be added with a single space before them ensure that a space is added to every hashtag & atuser

Java script that copies text from "copy link" button and copy user @ name button were using a function name that ended in a numeral which was parsed as part of the comment item number, thus causing javascript copy to clipboard routine to copy text from wrong location and item number.
Changed java function name to end in letter instead of number, problem appears to be solved.
Also instituted version number for comment-js file to ensure re-load when changes are made, so returning visitors do not get old version made prior to any changes, causing mis-operation.

@tex We got that fixed this morning and also expanded the valid file extensions from jpg to jpeg and JPG so now most iterations of the jpg file extension are now recognized by the picture upload module.
We also cleaned up the styling and test data on the comment / picture submitted page, and re coded the return button to go back 2 pages after submitting a picture, avoiding the error page regarding re-submitting the form.
Users trying to upload pictures should have a lot easier time of it now.
